Help Ukrainians make a home here in our area this Christmas, as well as support the humanitarian effort back in Ukraine, by donating:

  • Small household items
  • Children’s Christmas boxes
  • Humanitarian aid such as torches, sleeping bags and first aid kits

Bring your donations to:

Lonsdale Gate, Lonsdale Gardens, Tunbridge Wells, TN1 1NU on Thursday 15th December from 9am – 5pm. If you’re driving, you can use the entrance gates to the left of the office building. Join us for mince pies and mulled wine from 4 – 5pm to celebrate the total.

Category 1: Small Household Items

As many Ukrainian guests are now moving from their sponsors’ homes and into their own accommodation, the following items are needed. In the interest of hygiene, items should be in good condition or unused and full sets where applicable.

  • Cutlery sets
  • Electrical goods for the kitchen such as kettles, microwaves, standalone grills, mixers, blenders, coffee machines
  • Teapots
  • Kitchen utensils
  • Crockery
  • Any other useful items for the kitchen
  • Any items for the bathroom such as shower or towel racks
  • Small mirrors
  • Ironing boards
  • Irons
  • Hairdryers, straighteners, curlers
  • Vacuum cleaners (as new or new)
  • Towels (new only)
  • Tea cloths (new only)
  • Mops (new only)
  • Brooms (new only)
  • Household cleaning items (new only) such as furniture polish, dishcloths, cream cleaner, bathroom cleaner
  • New make-up (unused)

Category 2: Humanitarian Aid

We are also sending aid to Ukraine for both civilians and those on the frontline. With the current energy crisis hitting Ukraine, items from this list are urgently needed.

  • Torches
  • Head torches
  • Candles
  • Camping stoves (both gas or portable woodburning)
  • Power banks
  • AA and AAA batteries
  • Camping lamps
  • Outdoor hiking boots (in good condition only)
  • Winter sleeping bags
  • Cyalume sticks (glow sticks)
  • Boots chemist first aid kits
  • Hygiene items
  • KFS (knife, fork, spoon) sets
  • Swiss army knife/swiss army cutlery sets
  • Small burners
  • All-in-one eating pots with lids
  • Can openers
  • Thermos flasks and cups
  • Water-purifying tablets or LifeStraw (from Vestergaard / straws that purify water)
  • Other water-purifying brands (see Google)

Category 3: Children’s Christmas Boxes

Anything you wish but please remember to categorise the gift by age, etc.

The Ukraine Relief Group will give these out to local Ukrainian kids at an event at TN2 on 7 Jan 2023, when they celebrate Christmas.

  • Clothing
