Q: Tell us your career history – the short version please!!

A. I actually studied Law from school and began legal training, but have always loved art and design, so when it came to work experience, I ended up at a creative studio instead. From there I landed an AE role at a London agency and that was it – I was hooked. My experience covers the complete marketing mix from brand ID and strategy to omni-channel, film production, digital and UX. Notable brands include Karen Millen, Metropolitan Police, Dyson Farming, Shepherd Neame and PepsiCo.

Q: Describe your current role at SWC

A. I first worked with SWC back in 2014 and was impressed straight away with the ethos and ambition of the business, we hit it off and always kept in touch. I returned at the end of 2023 as an Account Director, working across SAE International, Fullsight and Cofinity-X. My role is to strategically lead each account, guiding the wider team and supporting clients, really understanding their challenges and needs, in order to present exciting new opportunities.

Q: Best thing about working for SWC Partnership?

A. Being part of the global cloud-based agency UP There, Everywhere really is true to the claim. I love people and we’re very fortunate to have such a great extended network. Every day we work with, and have access to, amazing subject matter experts, PHDs, creatives and native speakers around the world, who add yet another layer of cultural nuance to international projects.

Q: Favourite campaign you’ve worked on at SWC and why?

A. This year, we developed a 12-month campaign for SAE International to encourage the mobility industry’s brightest talent to share their knowledge and publish their work with SAE. Our concept and core campaign headlines were developed using customer insight and centre around taking the first step to writing mobility’s next chapter. Using multiple ad formats and channels, we’ve had excellent engagement and surpassed benchmarks to inspire a new generation of authors.

Q: Best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

A. “A narrow focus brings big results”. Having a laser-focus on what success looks like and how you’re going to get there, whether that’s developing a single-minded proposition, audience specific campaigns or a series of small wins to achieve the most significant result.

Q: What’s your biggest motivation when working with a client?

A. Exceeding expectations. Becoming a partners’ ‘go to’ and being afforded the responsibility to get to know each client and their business, their challenges and ambitions, so that we can then add true value and magic to the mix. I really enjoy developing brilliant creative briefs that go on to deliver exceptional work.

Q: One thing we didn’t know about you is….

A. A long time ago, I did a lot of experiential brand ambassador work; I’ve been (the official) Super Mario, sat on a bubble bath float in Brighton for Radox and dressed up as a daffodil and an air hostess, all in the name of marketing!
