Love. It’s in their name and in their bowl 

James Wellbeloved has a wonderful brand, centred around looking after your furry friends with the best food nature has to offer. They create healthy food for pets that keeps them full of energy and enjoying life.  

We’ve been supporting the JWB team with copywriting and creative for several years, and when they asked us to update their brand messaging on their UK website, we jumped at the chance.  

The challenge  

James Wellbeloved wanted to overhaul their About Us, Our Story and Ingredients pages to better reflect their new and evolved tone of voice – warmer, friendlier, supportive of the pet parent community they serve, and reinforcing their authority as a trusted expert in pet nutrition.  

We set to work developing some fresh messaging, and we decided that the best way to showcase who they are as a brand was to bring it back to basics: Food is love.  

And what better way to show your love for your furry ones than to give them the very best food – healthy and wholesome, and made with the same love and care that they show you daily.  

We wasted no time chasing our tails (sorry)… and one of our Senior Copywriters, Cath, set to work. 

What we did 

The overriding aim was to give pet lovers a big cuddle with our words; bring customers in and demonstrate the love and care that goes into JWB’s food, as well the extra value the brand provides, through not just its healthy, balanced food with no nasties, but all of its extra content, support and partner offers too.

The copy and creative direction we developed flowed across the three key pages, with the aim to provide both new and existing customers with a seamless view of who James Wellbeloved are and what they stand for.

The messaging we produced for this project has been used across all platforms, and the team have seen a great uplift in engagement as a result.  

We like to think the copy is the cat’s whiskers! 😸
